Originally from Saint Etienne, the French artist Oak Oak plays with his environment, he sticks his drawings in each of the places he crosses in order to create a smile in the pedestrian at the bend of a street where he is not there. don't wait. His approach consists in diverting the urban elements, to have fun with the defects which at first glance seem without particular interest, like the cracks in a wall.
He thus adds his own vision, his own references which often relate to the geek universe. A way of imagining the urban space in a more poetic way.
With stencils or collages of drawings of characters, Oak Oak skilfully transforms objects such as simple posts, steps, walls, manhole covers, pedestrian crossings, traffic lights, trash cans or even doorknobs. to put them in a “non-executive” situation.
